Tokyo Nights

This month's Dr Sketchy's Anti Art School steamed up the Pink Cow in Shibuya with it's Arabian ambiance.

Gorgeously glam model Michi showed off her super talent as she shimmied and gave us a taste of the dance from the east.

An amazing mix of talented artists set up early and got to work as Dillon dazzled with facts and a winning DJ mix. All the while Michi provided powerful and sexy form for the sketchers.

The highlight for us, as always, was competition time. We are intensely fortunate to be a part of this vibrant event and supporting it any way we can is a pure delight. Each month we invite the TM designers to contribute something to the prize booty. This month Eshimasa out did himself and contributed some mindblowing limited edition pieces. The first prize (which we sadly missed the op to take a pic of) was a one-of-a-kind Eshimasa X Tokyomade tshirt designed especially for the event!! WOW!

The other comp of the night was won by a firey and inspirational artist, Emily. Emily was the cheerful winner of an original Japanese fan designed by Eshimasa. The bonza prize pack also included gorgeous postcards created by Michi, a Dress Pod, 77 Kat Street Necklace and plenty of TOKYOMADE promo goodies.

We met a troop of awesome new friends and got to celebrate a glorious Tokyo summer night with some of our favorite people!

The LADE Clothing boys add a sense of coolness and style to any party, Wednesday was no exception. (Aahhhhhhh I love this job!!)

Alison, the gorgeous, enjoyed a well earned break and the delights on offer at the Pink Cow.

The next Dr Sketchy's Tokyo will be held Wednesday 25th of July. If you are strolling the streets of Tokyo with not much to do, you know where to go...Pink Cow Shibuya. Come early to get a seat!

Hope to see you there, if not be sure to check out this bloggie thing for an update on the sketchy fun!

Finger painting fun to you,
TM

What's in your pocket?

Quite in love with this idea from Russia.

Things that are living in the pockets of your bag, jeans or jacket: travel and pay checks, old cigarette pack that just looks interesting, sugar lumps and all the stuff that has found home in your pockets. They are all the treasures our project is looking for! Our goal is not only bring all this objects into light but show the owner of them.

The process.

Place the objects on the scanner. Place your face/part of it on the scanner as well. Aaaaand scan it! Send us the picture you've got to:

faceyourpockets@gmail.com

(Don't forget to mention your name and occupation. Also the email should include the list of objects you've scanned - keys, granny's photo, gum etc.)

Attention!

During the scanning process it is recommended not to open your eyes. If you feel that you can handle it and open them, DO NOT follow the light on its move! The authors of this project didn't find any side-effects on themselves. However, the authors do not bear the responsibilty for possible consequences. At your own risk :)

Technical Requirements:

Format *.jpg, *.gif
Size A4
Resolution 300 dpi

TM in N.E.E.T mag

Feeling pretty excited to spot some treasures from our super talented designers in this month's issue of N.E.E.T mag. N.E.E.T does a spectacular job of showcasing some of the hottest independant designers and their creations!
neetmag%20TM1.jpg
Here I am sporting a Honmonoya
vintage corsage as part of a N.E.E.T STUFF collection. The irony of this photo is that it was never to make it to public view however Masao with all of his sweetness and wisdom decided it was to become the thumbnail. I shuddered slightly to see a bad hair, no makeup photo taken of me standing on our rooftop in Tokyo was selected. But am super happy to see the gorgeous corsage under the spotlight.

The ever so yummy mushroom pin by 393103 made a sweet appearance in the N.E.E.T picks.

And the rockin' red Skinny Argyle Tie added to a hot Boys Night Out fashion spread.

Thanks a million to N.E.E.T mag!
Go check out the other fab designs and funky photos shoots HERE

ps Be sure not to miss the gorgeous Precious Pirate photo shoot in Paris!!

Summer Beauty

kera1.jpg

This month's KERA is all about creating new looks by mixing things up! The picture above is a shot from a funky, punky Super Lovers spread.
The beauty feature has a summery focus - how to keep your skin "white" this summer.

kera2.jpg

"Tropical" makeup is making an impact. According to KERA the key is "flashy" but "cute". Fresh and fruity. We think it looks more like something from a touring big top but who are we to argue with the KERA sense of summer style?

kera3.jpg
KERA photo shoots are always fab but this one is such a sweet treat. Part of an underwear as outerwear spread, this is strong and gorgeous in so many ways.
kera4.jpg

But our fav pic in the whole mag is this super cool street shot in Harajuku of Shotaro and Ikumi from Chapter, looking far more street and serious than our Design Festa snapshot of them.
