smelly cat

I saw a cat this morning.
I saw a dead cat this morning.
I have probably seen a few dead cats in my day, possibly even killed some (accidentally) myself.
I think this morning's siting however was a first.
This cat dyed seemingly at the hands of a reckless driver, it could be assumed that it was flung violently from the tire of the car/scooter/wheelchair to the side of the road. Nothing unusual about that, unfortunate but not unusual.
What was unusual about this indicent was that when I spotted the cat at approximately 8 am this morning it was laying stiff but peaceful on the sidewalk with a clean, white hand towel placed respectfully over its head.

party

this site has changed the way i think...for the next hour atleast
a small reminder to not always be sensible - not that i am always sensible at all, but i adore sites like this that give a glimpse of the goings on in other hooligans lives

with a 30th birthday party to consider i hope i remember to attempt to make it just as fookin fabulous as some of the parties featured on my new fav site

masked

The invitation came, the masks were purchased and we headed on up to the 52nd floor to sip our cocktails on top of the world.

rendered

daily unsuccessful attempts to work out which side of the foothpath I should actually be walking on have rendered me clueless and nightly unsuccessful attempts to fall into deep slumber anytime before 1am have bollixed me silly hence my current phase of comfortably numb, happily docile and ever so vanilla-like state. i find peace in that this is the calm after the whirlwind tour and am still happy to float around in the mist that is slowly settling.
so I leave you with images from my thoughts, sure they mean more to me than you, but enjoy.

writing on the walls

Tokyo kicks a-hole in terms of rad street art i feel (you can check out frangipani's capture of it HERE) - but athens makes a good bid for a winning place - scattered on walls across the city wait fresh, little surprises; truely showing the passion of the people.
If someone is stirred, motivated and compelled enough to splash, stick, roll, whip it on a public canvas such as a wall/fence/ train, they have got my vote.

smooth sailing

jet lag seems so passe and i arrogantly thought i could avoid it - seems time has stronger powers than i suspected - as the last of the biological rhythm disruption fades and tokyo pulses back through of veins we are lushly lazing with our super duper eurotrash memories, feelings, smells, sounds and images rolling around...
slowly getting the pics up - chances are not one of you are ever going to have the endurance to sit through all 2479 of them so here are a few as a preview for yall
