Whoah! We're going to Ibiza...

Whoah! We're going to Ibiza
Whoah! Back to the islands
Whoah! We're going to Ibiza
Whoah! We're gonna have a party
Whoah! In the Mediterranean Sea

Actually we really are...

This is what has been consuming my time and my head space lately.
It all started about a month ago when Zume ventured to ask "Hey, why don't we go to Spain for the summer?" Asking me a question like that equates to asking me if I would like some ice cream - I am NEVER going to say no.

In no time we were on the phone to the travel agent and writing a list of the places we wanted to go.
In true over zealous style, I had listed every exotic and sexy Mediterranean beach on the planet as a place to go. But we have since chopped in down a little.
At the risk of sounding like an annoying bragging spoilt brat I am going to give a run down of our summer journey.

London - Paris (to ride our bikes through the streets of gay pari and eat creme brulee at Amelie's cafe in Monmatre) - Barcelona (to be pickpocketed and see if Zara clothes really are cheaper there) - Ibiza (to party it up with celebs, djs and the largest population of pimple faced, alchohol intolerant, barely out of their teens brits) - Venice (to see what a real gondola looks like) - Rome (to shop like a freak and decide whether or not it was built in a day) - Athens and the Greek Ialands Santorini, Mykonos and Paros (to chill and soak it up before heading back to Tokyo)

So here's the thing, we have less than two months before we leave and we need to learn french, spanish, italian and greek.

So far I have progressed to a level where I can ask for a Camembert sandwich in French, I can ask where the toilet or beach is in spanish (while being aware of the pickpoketers) and I can barely leave anywhere now without squealing arrivederci, blowing kisses and waving like I am hanging off the side of a luxury sea liner ready to depart on the trip of a life time. As for greek, well at this stage I am ignorantly hoping sign language will suffice.

All language assisstance is greatly appreciated - please help!

Whoah! Wow, everyone is going travelling this summer...so jealous! I can't speak any of the languages mentioned really but when i was in Europe i used lonely planets Europe Phrasebook (ISBN 1-86450-2244) which has a rundown of 14 languages in it....including french, italian, greek and spanish! How long will you be gone for? Have you and Zume been to Europe together before? Wow, how exciting!

Hey Mario from Barcelona - thanks for the Spanish lesson! I need alot of help. But I love your language and I find it much easier to pick up than French.
We are so excited to go to Barcelona - but tell me...is it really as dangerous for tourists as people say it is?
Thanks for the comments impressed by your groovy photos too

He!! I'm Mario! it isn't dangerous trabel to Spain if you have a little bit of experience in trips..
If you are walking in the street and one unknown person try to asking something to you.. for example how go to one street or similar question.. it is really possible that he/she wants to stole you.. he/she known that you aren't from Spain and intented to lie you.. another type of problems are the taxi.. for the tourist. the taxidrivers try to make you pay more than the normal price you have to negociate the price of the taxi service before you caught the taxi..
Barcelona it's a very nice city and there are a lot of things to see and do.. If you like go to discos and pubs barcelona is ypur city.. I was in london.. and it's very boring compared to barcelona! people go to their house at 2 am! in barcelona the party starts at 1 or 2 am!
We are very "FIESTEROS" (party people)

hahah I rarely miss Sydney..People there generally think they are just too funky! But when I go there I don't not like it... I miss my friends and the ease of shopping back home and my family.. But not 'Aus' itself... I was there for 23 years.. Time to explore new places - ya know!

I've had a look at a couple of your pics and I really admire your fashion style. Do u shop a lot in Tokyo? Maybe we could hook up for some shopping one day if you're free... I just can't seem to find 'my' kind of stores in Tokyo and my wardrobe is a jungle of clothes - none of which match!! haha

sounds like you have the perfect selection of clothes...clothes aren't supposed to match they are just supposed to 'go'...
My wardrobe is a sickening hideous mess - if anyone saw it they would be very shocked (except my mummy she had to put up with my filth all of my childhood) i have huge tidiness issues which i have never grown out of unfortunately. masao is super neat, he looks at my wardrobe in digust so much so that we have separate wardrobes...

i am always up for shopping but my shopping experiences are as messy as my wardrobe i never plan to buy anything i just stumble upon things that i think are cool at the time then i shove them in the cupboard and wait til i have the urge to wear them - but i do have a few fav shops that i check out every now and then
