If you type 'Peter Hore died at a Robbie Williams concert' into google what you will come up with firstly is a wiki account of Peter Hore Serial Pest (to some, legend to others), following that will unfold the aussie media scandal that reported Peter's death by fall at a Robbie concert in Brissie.
I am proud to report that the Australian media, true to it's form is full of garbage.
On an entertaining solo ride home in the early hours of January 1, 2007 the serial pest himself complimented me on my painful red heels after which I grabbed some photo ops and listened in wonder to his worldy tales.
The pest lives!

Unless of course this was a wild halucination brought on by the prior new years celebrations.

I am the luckiest a) for making it to 30 relatively unscathed and not too jaded b)I have more than I could have ever dreamed possible and c) I was completely and utterly spoiled last night surrounded by my dearest and yummiest friends in the lounge area of an ultra cool Shibuya hot spot.
Thank you so much to everyone for braving the Tokyo chill and surprising me greatly with gorg pressies, titillating performances and a very swish gathering.

Thank you to my Mama, Nan and Gran, Kerry, Geoff, Larissa, Kelly and Brett for the lovely phone calls and emails.

Had I have known that the odds were stacked against me in so many ways I would never have navigated wildly through the gazillions of women's health websites spurting statistics about my inevitiable demise and disintegration during this newly reached decade. I think its safe to say I am better suited to and much calmer when I spend my time staring at dolls with big eyes and oddly shaped heads rather than scanning forums with posts about big lumps and oddly shaped moles.

In much cooler news TOKYOMADE is not far from its long awaited launch - save your pocket money for February kids.

Leila Chan asked me last night "How many friggin blogs do you have?" To be honest there are probably more floating around out there than I care to remember. You know how it goes, hear about blogging, try it out and test as many blog providers as you can get your fingertips on...then go with the best leaving a trail behind you.
But if you must know...I think I have about 3 - sushizume, TOKYOMADE myspace blog and now a new one which I hope you all get a chance to visit (oh and you can join our tokyo fanclub while you are at it! just put your email address where it says 'tokyo fanclub' we have some fun and games planned for the fans)the TOKYOMADE blog. Pink Party Still On

OK so despite the fact that these friggin' pretty pink flowers are playing hard to get and we may not see them in full bloom this weekend after all the PINK PARTY is still the place to play this weekend!! Let it be known that as I write this I am decked out in all pink sporting a mighty fine tissue paper sakura in my hair! Oh yes there shall be PINK. There is going to be so much PINK that there is a PINK party meeting scheduled for this evening at 7:30 @ Advocates Shinjuku Ni Chome to discuss how the pinkness should prevail. (I know, I know I can hear you Leila I need to stop going there...but it is close, convenient and the drinks are cheap What more could a girl ask for?) If you are unable to come to our little meeting this evening you can always leave your pink suggestions in the comment box.

As far as the pinkness goes thus far THINK > pink heart shaped helium filled balloons, pink hello kitty bingo, pink prizes, pink costumes, pink cupcakes, pink champaign and some giant pink pocky. Naturally there will be more PINK surprises and please please feel free to bring your own pinkness to add to the ??? what is the collective noun for a whole lot of PINK ???

So unless it buckets out of the sky, and according to this mornings forecast there is a 40% chance on rain on Saturday - we will be there in all our PINK glory. From noonish til lateish (until the champaign stops flowing!) Come and hang with us...more info on the bingo times SOON.

ps Oh and if you are a meat eater you have to bring your own, sorry only vegheads in this house. But the cupcakes will have lots of butter and egg I am sure and the edamame, fruit, veg and vegie dips will help the champaign and beer go down just nicely!

Going through some pics left on one of our cameras I was reminded of some past events that had totally slipped my mind.

A large part of my life is actually dedicated to being a Grade 3 teacher at The Tokyo Korean School. A few weeks ago we had a very exciting Korean Cultural Day. Living in 'Korean Town' and working for the school I have been lucky enough to learn and enjoy a great deal. I am particularly in love with kimchi (although my ulcer is not always pleased with that) and on cultural day I grew to love the color, vigor and excitment of the games, dqance and costumes.
Here I am looking particularly Marshmallow Man like in a traditional Korean hanbok.

A few weeks ago we went to listen to TOKYOMADE designer Seimani do his stuff on the decks.

A top night, great tunes, awesome atmosphere and some of the best and original veg and vegan food I have tried in Tokyo. Enjoy House in Ebisu is a must! Devine frozen margaritas too!

Now this is what I call fun! Actually it was probably tiring to make and if you listen to it for too long you will drive yourself a little batty - but fun!

I thought we had spotted our fair share of invaders on our travels and especially here in Tokyo, but it seems that is not that case. Check out THIS awesome photo collection of invaders snapped around the globe. This guy even got to meet the Invader himself, this is too cool for school! And HERE is the true invader.

In other gamer type news, Masao is sitting contently in the background glued to his latest piece of handheld wonder. In what seems like an awesome selling frenzy for the clever fellows over at Yodabashi Camera, Masao was the second last person (on this planet according to the sprukers at the time of the frenzy) to get his hands on this little piece of fun.

We headed to Enjoy! House in Ebisu again on Wednesday night. Can't get enough of it's rawness (and frozen cocktails!)
Have been celebrating the arrival of Spring in fine style. A celebration a night in fact. From enjoying house with Seimani on Wednesday night to very fine drops Aussie style at Araku in Shinjuku with The Keitai Goddess and her fine man on Friday night. Saturday night lead us to a debaucherous rodeo-like ride at a Mexican Cantina with LeilaChan. All preparation for what was to be the wildest Sakurathon Sunday. Photos are on their way.

A simply stunning Sunday morning in Shinjuku saw the Go Go Girl and I head out early with our mat, our snacks and our 10 litres of specially concealed Sakura Sangria.

An outrageously gorgeous spot on the water called for us and we set up camp, stretched our legs, turned up the tunes and had a little spring nap while we waited for the others.

Wasn't long before the emails started coming in warning of ridiculous lines at the entrance to the park. Fearing the beautiful beverages might go to waste we started sipping a little early.

Soon the other cherry blossom babes turned up and joined in the festivities.

By the time toilet time came around a scan of the park revealed the thousands and thousands of other sakura lovers that had packed into the park.

The toilet line up appeared atleast a 20minute wait - with quite a few litres of sangria in my water works by this stage I was thanking my lucky stars I had studied up on this. Something all ladies should practice to avoid going to the ladies (and I am not suggesting that you go to the men's but I am suggesting that you become at one with nature in your own litle private Idaho.

The party was only just beginning by that stage...

This picture has nothing really to do with what I wanted to post about but before I get onto what I am really going to say I have to pay my respects to CUTiE mag on it's 20th anniversary. I always manage to find something I must have (grey holter vest from Ehyphen) and it is ALWAYS sold out by the time I get to the shop...possibly a good thing.
Anyway we are moving! Not exactly to the country but we will no longer live in Shinjuku... TBC

Quite in love with this idea from Russia.

Things that are living in the pockets of your bag, jeans or jacket: travel and pay checks, old cigarette pack that just looks interesting, sugar lumps and all the stuff that has found home in your pockets. They are all the treasures our project is looking for! Our goal is not only bring all this objects into light but show the owner of them.

The process.

Place the objects on the scanner. Place your face/part of it on the scanner as well. Aaaaand scan it! Send us the picture you've got to:

tortured housewife

It is not very often that I get the urge to clean and when I do it usually means there is something on my mind!

So as the man of the house worked ie chatted to an old friend on the phone while in his office...

I dug out the 40's housewife garb and got to work, scrubbing and soaking.

Fortunately for me, whatever it was that was on my mind soon dissipated and I was lured by thoughts of powerful tequila cocktails.

Just as my foremothers would have, I gave into the call of the grog and what started as a productive afternoon of cleanliness, has finished as a steamy evening of loud music and a slight headache. I best take a bex, put my curlers in and have a bloody good lie down.
